The Jahangir Pendant is embossed with the image of a lion and a shining sun, surrounded by five green onyx stones.
The combined symbols of lion and sun have a rich history within Asian and Middle Eastern countries. When used on a coin it is closely associated with the Jahangir Rupee, which takes its name from the eponymous Emperor of the Mughal Dynasty - the “conqueror of the world”. In Iranian astrology, Jahangir was a Leo, and he felt closely tied to his Astrological sign’s associated with greatness and power.
Handcrafted and individually cast. Each piece is unique, which we believe is what gives it its beauty. Each stone is natural, untreated as well as traceable. This means each stone differs in tone and colour. Nickel and lead free. Dimensions: 4cm long (including bail, 3cm wide (including onyx).
